The Artist:
Prospex
As an acclaimed artist, Prospex re-imagines cultural touch points like the Western frontier, suburban Americana, and cosmic landscapes through a unique blend of handcrafted techniques and cutting-edge AI.
His collections, including Frontier Drops, have been exhibited in prestigious galleries across Tokyo, London, and Los Angeles and featured in publications such as The New York Times, Ad Age, and i-D.
With a distinctive cinematic quality, Prospex’s work explores myth, artifice, and cultural narratives, earning him a reputation as a groundbreaking voice in contemporary art.
“As a newcomer to living in Los Angeles, Prospex Park is a response to the sense of wonder and oddity that the city evokes in someone who is an outsider looking in. Everything is familiar yet strangely alien.
I’ve been exploring well worn American cultural themes that I grew up being fascinated by from afar - from the US suburb to the wild West - reflecting them back from an outsider’s perspective, kind of as a way to process and fit in to my new life here.
AI always struck me as the perfect medium for this as, like me, the AI is an outsider doing its best to make sense of an alien world familiar to everyone in it.”
